Hybrid pole used to support the blind

Our hybrid pole blinds are NW Camo's newest lightweight heavy-duty blinds. We use 6061 Aluminum 1/2" pipe (heavy wall) for the poles and a solid steel foot is fitted into the aluminum pipe and the pipe is compression formed around the foot.  A piece of 1/2" solid aluminum rod is inserted into the top end of the pipe and the pipe is compression formed around the rod.  This closes the top of the pipe and prevents the pipe from filling up with water and dirt.  The tip of the 1/2" diameter, 10" long solid steel foot is turned in a lathe to create a point. This point makes the foot go into the ground easier. The foot has 2" steel steps coming out on both the front side and the backside of the blind. Using the ball of your foot you can push the pole into the ground from either side of the blind.

All of our hybrid step-in blinds use durable cordura fabrics. Polypropylene webbing is sewn across the top and the bottom of the backside of the blinds to provide extra tear resistance from over-exuberant dogs jumping up on top of the blind or trying to push under the blind.

The rivet with the washer underneath keeps the blind secure on the polePolypropylene webbing is also used on all the vertical pole placements and the poles are attached to the webbing using a stainless steel washer and a rivet. The press-formed curved stainless steel washers are used so the rivets will not pull out of the webbing. The fabric is attached to each pole at both the top and the bottom of the blind. The poles will not fall out when carrying and handling these blinds.

All of our blindsPockets on all of the holding blinds have two large pockets that will each hold a box  of shotgun shells. There is one pocket on both the upper left and the upper right corners on the backside of the blind. These pockets are handy for holding launcher remote controls and 2-way radios often used in training. These pockets are also handy for storing anything else you need to keep close.

You can choose between our standard 2-panel and 3-panel blinds. The panels on our 2-panel blinds are 36" wide for a total blind width of 72"(6 feet wide).  On our 3-panel blinds, the 2 outer panels are 30" wide and the center panel is 36" wide for a total blind width of 96"(8 feet wide).

Our blinds also have an attached webbing strap with a quick release buckle to wrap around the bind and keep the blind secure and not unroll during transport or storage.

Closing Strap is attached to the blind. Closing Strap which is attached to the blind

If you want us to make blinds with more panels or different panel widths, then please contact us.

In the Hybrid Step-in Blinds, we offer you a choice of either a 4' blind (48" fabric height) or an approximately 5' blind (59" fabric height).  Please note that the pole foot adds approximately 11 inches to the blind and this should be considered for transporting and storage of the blinds (48" fabric height blinds use 59" long poles, 59" fabric height blinds use 70" long poles).

You have many choices when it comes to camo patterns.  If the camo pattern or blind you want is "Sold Out", contact us and we will make one for you.

Product Care Instructions:

Inserting the step-in pole into hard ground requires some care.  A soft-faced hammer should be used anytime you are pound  ing the foot into the ground by striking the top of the pole.   DO NOT USE A STEEL HAMMER OR MALLET as aluminum is soft and the steel hammer will damage and deform the aluminum pole.

Removing hybrid poles from hard-ground requires some care as you have at least a 4-foot lever arm that can bend even a steel foot!  To remove the blind from hard ground grab ahold of the top portion of the pole (not just the fabric) and make small circular motions while pulling the pole upward.  By carefully working the pole in a small circular motion you can loosen the foot from the ground without bending the foot.

Cordura Fabrics are durable, but we recommend that you do not leave your blinds out. Over time sunlight will destroy fabrics; therefore, we recommend that you bring your blinds in after use.  If the blinds are wet do not store them rolled up or mildew may form.

If you need to wash the blind, we recommend rolling it out on a driveway and using a hose to wet the fabric.  Then use a mild detergent and a broom or brush to gently scrub the fabric and then hose it off.  Let it air dry before rolling it up for storage.
