Brian Hawley & his 1st Master Hunter, Mac
Elsa Hawley & Cooper
We love gun dogs and the people who train them. We love the joy and enthusiasm we see in our dogs when they are working.
On the right are two of our wonderful male dogs, Mac and Tyson. Brian learned a lot about training from both dogs and is applying these lessons to his current dogs.
They brought much joy into our hearts and we thank God for bringing them into out lives. We miss them dearly.
In 2007 I purchased a Labrador Retriever puppy with an impressive pedigree which included multiple Field Champions and Master Hunters. When I started training my dog for AKC Hunt Tests, I realized I needed to get my own holding blinds. As I looked online at the prices, quality, and features of holding blinds used for dog training, I decided that I would be better off making my own. After a few iterations, and feedback from my training partners, Elsa & I came up with a durable, feature-filled product that worked for our needs. The people I trained with liked what we made and asked if we could make blinds for them. That was the start of NW Camo.
Based on my personal training needs, feedback from training partners, and customer requests we have added many new and unique products.
What makes NW Camo Different?
Since we are small and offer customization to our basic blind design, we can make blinds to fit a customer's unique needs. While we have some of our basic blinds in stock, we also make custom blinds for customers with special requests.
Through this "one-off" customization process, we have picked up some very good ideas and have expanded our offerings. By listening to our customers, and acknowledging that "one size does not fit all", we continue to improve our product offerings. If you do not see what you want, let us know and we will work with you to see if we can create a design that will fit your needs.
In addition to sewing camo fabrics, Elsa also knits. After working with the many patterns of camo fabric in making our blinds, she began exploring camo fabrics that were suitable for clothing and accessories you might enjoy. You will also find a variety of hand-knit items in our store. Custom orders are always welcome, so if you do not find exactly what you are looking for then please feel free to contact Elsa to discuss your ideas.
